Secure contact forms: how to avoid spam and protect data
An unprotected form is a magnet for bots and spam. We show you the techniques we use to keep forms clean and secure.
The problem with poorly configured forms
An unprotected contact form receives hundreds of spam messages a day. That floods your inbox and pollutes your potential customer data.
Protection techniques we implement
1. reCAPTCHA v3 (invisible)
Google reCAPTCHA v3 analyzes user behavior in the background and assigns a score. Without interrupting the user experience, it automatically blocks most bots.
2. Honeypot
A hidden field that humans never fill in but bots do. If the field arrives with data, the message is discarded automatically.
3. Rate limiting
We limit submissions per IP: maximum 5 messages per hour from the same address.
4. Server-side validation
We never trust browser validation alone. All fields are also validated on the server to prevent injection attacks.
